SPOILED ROTTEN

Written by Michael Scott-Smietana and Clive A. C. Green

Synopsis

Political attempts to stifle artistic expression usually end in farce.
SPOILED ROTTEN is a broad based theatrical satire that examines this fact against the backdrop of 1930's Germany..

Two rabbis, Abe and Sol, risk their lives to promote their art exhibition, which they call Spoiled Rotten. Their works include mouldy and putrid food, to exemplify the decay they see in the culture around them.

Needless to say, this does not sit well with a pantheon of villains, including Adolf Hitler and his girlfriend Eva Braun, Rudolf Hess, and Ernst Rohmer, chief of the Gestapo.
The artists’ only allies are the spirited ghost of Beethoven, and the beautiful young Gretchen, who sees in their art a true reflection of her increasingly stagnant life.

From the back streets to the sewers of Berlin, the characters are swept along to a hilarious climax at the Reichstag Ball, where true art and true love conquer all.
